Welcome to Melbourne Event Center. By securing a booking with us, you agree to the following terms and conditions, created to help us provide a memorable, well-coordinated event experience.
Booking Confirmation
Tentative bookings are held for up to 3 days. After this period, a non-refundable deposit of $2000 and a valid credit card on file are required to confirm your booking and secure your event date. By paying the deposit, you agree to these terms.
Security Requirements
For certain events, security personnel may be necessary to ensure guest safety and event management. Security staff will be arranged at a rate of one guard per 150 guests, as determined with you at booking.
Service of Alcohol
For events serving alcohol, at least two staff members with RSA (Responsible Service of Alcohol) certification are required. Melbourne Event Center reserves the right to cease alcohol service for guests showing signs of intoxication or disruptive behavior.
External Supplier Insurance
For safety, all external suppliers must provide Public Liability Insurance prior to arriving on-site. Suppliers without adequate insurance may be refused entry.
Catering and Clean-Up
Clients or their caterers are responsible for setting up and clearing dishware, cutlery, and glassware. Outside caterers must hold food handling certification and meet health and safety requirements. Additional cleaning fees may apply if items remain after the event, and our team can assist with coordination if needed.
Pricing and Final Payments
Pricing may be subject to change due to market adjustments, and we will notify you of any changes. Final payments are due 10 days before the event date; late payments may result in additional charges.
Personal Belongings and Deliveries
Clients may bring personal items as needed; however, Melbourne Event Center is not liable for items left on the premises before, during, or after the event. For any deliveries, please coordinate with our Venue Hire Team for support.
Cancellations and Date Changes
If plans change, please contact us directly. Deposits are non-refundable; however, if rescheduling within a year, the deposit may be applied as credit toward the new date. Any price changes for the new date will apply.
A refundable bond of $1000 is required prior to the event.
Guest Entry and Limits
Guests are welcome during the agreed-upon event times, with additional guests accommodated only within our licensed capacity. All minors attending events must be accompanied by a Legal Guardian and are required to leave by midnight.
Event Conduct
We expect that all events adhere to venue policies. Should an event be booked under false pretenses, Melbourne Event Center reserves the right to cancel without refund.
Outside Suppliers and Requirements
Outside suppliers such as decorators and photographers should confirm setup and breakdown times at least two weeks before the event. Extra time for setup or dismantling may result in additional charges, and all decorations or props require venue approval.
Care of the Venue
Clients are responsible for any damage caused by guests, with a minimum charge of $2000 for repairs. Additional cleaning fees may be charged if the venue requires extra cleanup post-event.
Use of Adhesive Materials & Confetti
Only low-adhesion tape may be used to attach decorations. Clients are responsible for removing all adhesives post-event. Damage from adhesives may incur repair charges. We don’t allow confetti in the venue unless.
Dance Floor Safety
To ensure safety, drinks are not allowed on the dance floor. Guests may be required to wear shoes if the dance floor becomes slippery or unsafe.
Rehearsals
Rehearsals are generally not available. However, if one is essential, please inform us, and we’ll do our best to accommodate based on availability.
Special Effects and Pyrotechnics
Special effects and pyrotechnics must be operated by licensed, insured professionals. Without the necessary licenses, special effects cannot be permitted at the venue.
Price Changes
Room selection, guest numbers, and event requirements may affect minimum spend requirements. We will inform you of any necessary adjustments.
Cancellation Policy
Should you need to cancel, please contact us. While deposits are non-refundable, they may be credited toward a new date within one year, subject to availability.
Responsible Drinking and Behavior
For a safe event, responsible drinking is essential. The venue reserves the right to decline alcohol service to intoxicated or disruptive guests.
Unforeseen Events (Force Majeure)
If circumstances beyond our control—such as severe weather or government restrictions—impact your event, we will work with you to reschedule where possible.
